PRESS: Rosseti wants to curb regional operating costs
MOSCOW, Oct 10 (PRIME) -- Power grid company Rosseti has suggested limiting normalized operating costs of its distribution firm to the level of the largest power grid company in each region, business daily Kommersant reported on Tuesday citing a letter of the CEO to Russia's president.
"Now the tariffs for energy transmission in different regions may differ several times, and the power grids that are in municipal or regional ownership often receive a tariff per unit of equipment several times higher than in the distribution networks controlled by Rossetii," the letter read.
The company expects the costs adjustment to remove the imbalance between the regional power grid companies and Rosseti’s affiliates, while the combined effect for the state company is expected at 13 billion rubles per year.
